Parole granted

We’ve been let out of hospital under strict conditions.  That sounds like parole to me! 😀

Either way, we got out today after the waiting for the results of a blood test.  Boeta’s haemoglobin level is OK after he had a surprise red cell transfusion yesterday.  His Hb was 6.9 before receiving 200ml of packed red cells.  His white cells are on the way up after 6 booster injections.  His platelets were the worrying factor.  They continued dropping like a stone.  They went from 90 on Monday to 50 on Tuesday and 39 on Thursday.  Today they were 40, indicating that it has bottomed out and should start increasing.

Boeta is really struggling with adapting to home life this time.  Please spare a thought.
