Uhm. Ja. Right.

Remember how I confidently told you that we were going to be in hospital for 2 hours yesterday?  Hah.  Well that didn’t happen in a big way.

Even before we got to hospital things started pointing towards a looooong day.  On the way to hospital Woutertjie got nauseous and vomited.  Fortunately he had a container with him…

We got to hospital at 11:00.  By 12:00 it was his turn to be bled and chemo’ed and plastered.  By 12:30 we were done.  Then we waited for Cristina to arrived to have a look at Woutertjie before we could leave.

We waited.

And waited.

And waited some more.

At 16:30 Cristina arrived.  She had to see two newly diagnosed teenagers in the adult oncology ward.  I am so grateful that we aren’t at that stage anymore.

By 17:00 we were finally on our way.

6 hours for 30 minutes of treatment.  This is why being an oncomom is a full time job.
