Tiger can sleep well tonight

We went to play golf yesterday.

Wouter and Pieter (my brother, aka Ouboet, but for the sake of his dignity I will call him Pieter on the www) will probably prefer it if I stopped this update right here.  Well, if they didn’t want their exploits plastered on the blog, they shouldn’t have taken me along.  Hah!

It was a very nice day and a very relaxed game (code speak for double, triple and multiple bogeys).  They played 12 holes until they ran out of balls the children were too tired and we had to go home.

The 11th hole will from now on be known as “The Black Hole”.  Do you know how many golf balls disappeared there?  The phrase “hy is by die bos” leads to hysterical laughter after being repeated for the 10th time as the 10th attempt to tee goes … well … to the bushes.

Comment from the sidelines:

W:  Ouch.

(silence while reading)

W:  OUCH!

(silence while reading)

W: Please mention that I made one birdy and one par.  Please?

He did.  And he decided to forfeit 4 holes when his number of shots went into double digits.  I’m not saying anything more…
